When Nikki came up with the idea of doing a “Seven sins” theme I stressed out a bit. Because I’m a lazy bitch and can’t shoot 7, completely different selfportraits in 2 days.
But I also didn’t want to pick just one of them.

So we decided to do a project within the project, 7 weeks, 7 sins.
Wednesday is the deadline for photo 1, which will be Luxuria!
So you will know the themes for the following weeks, just not in what order. Yet.

I’m not happy with this.

Funny thing is. When I came up with this theme I had a picture in mind. Bold, Sexy, Naked, Powerful, yet Soft and warm. Proud to show my curves.

But while shooting, with pretty make-up and everything I turned out not to be this bold but more important, confident. I just couldn’t find the right pose, angle, the powerful look in my eyes, I felt naked, ‘cause I was. And it’s not that I’m ashamed of my body, it’s just not the body I want, like.

So here is me, trying feminine, not bold, more like fragile, but yet, I think it’s soft. But scared. And I didn’t want scared, at all. So. Yes. Well. Lets save this for another time shall we?

behind the scenes, week 4 'True Blood'

Thema voor deze week was True Blood, verzonnen door mijzelf. We zijn beiden trouwe volgers van de serie, wat voor seizoen 4 resulteerde in gezellige True Blood avondjes bij Jeanique & Emiel, compleet met katten op de bank. Good times! :D

Ik heb ‘The Queen’ geschilderd. Vanaf het eerste moment dat zij in beeld kwam was ik verkocht. <3 Ik ben niet helemaal tevreden met het resultaat, maar het is in ieder geval beter dan m’n eerste poging (portret van een woeste Jessica)…

Zo moet het dus niet..

Bedenk ik me nu, waarom heb ik in godsnaam geen naakte Eric Northman geschilderd?

Anyway, op naar week 5! &naar de laatste 2 afleveringen van True Blood die we nog moeten kijken samen!! ;) xoxo Nikki

Color Blocking is combining different colors that support and compliment each other.

My head was a bit “Theme Empty”, but I need something colorful, so here it is. :)
